ElCap Report 9/25/16

By Tom Evans

Yo.. Super duper weather continues to keep the Cap hopping with climbers.  I was not able to spend much time at EC today and got just a few shots.  I spent the rest of the day shooting for Adidas.  This may be a pattern for the next couple of weeks so please bear with me.

Today’s ElCap Report…written just for you..unique in all the world!

1)  Lunar Eclipse:  I did see Joe Marlay and John Verbeck on the second pitch this morning. They later bailed up to Zodiac.

Zodiac:  Alex Vaught did make Peanut ledge last night.  I left before he climbed.

2)  Over on the Shortest Straw Bart was spotted climbing the pitch that joins Zodiac.

The Three man Asian Team on the Trip have been making good time and I expect them to top out tomorrow.

3)  Native Son:  Sean tackled the Wing today and looked pretty sharp.  I didn’t get to shoot in the afternoon so I don’t know what was happening later in the day.

SSPO:  I did see that crew around 9am but they were still installed in their bivy.

7)  The Nose had several teams and this shot and the next were taken this morning.

In other news:  The Facelift is over now and hopefully the crowded streets will become more friendly.  I only get a short time each day to shoot from the meadow, if any at all, as Adidas is taking most of my time... so you will not be seeing the daily variety of shots I normally post... sorry about that but that's just the way it is...

So that’s the way it is, for this Sunday, the 25th of September, 2016.

Capt. Tom…pretty busy shooting these days.

Great shots and stories.

Love to know what's going on in the valley. Hope you're having a good fall Tom.

Cheers,
Doug
