In Memory of Allisyn Beisner-Martines,  22 July 2009

By Tom Evans

Another of our wonderful friends, Allisyn, was taken from us, on the 22nd day of July 2010, in a base jumping accident in Italy.  You may recall that her and Nicki's wedding was on this Report (20 June 09) as was their ascent of the Muir Wall, which they did as their honeymoon, in early Oct of 2009.  The pictures you will see below are from those two events.   Below is the link to her Memorial site, on Face Book.

Allisyn was a rare and special person who will be greatly missed.  She was a happy woman, as one could quickly see by her huge smile.  I was there on her and Nicki's wedding day, as were many other friends, at the Cathedral Beach in Yosemite.  She radiated the love that she and Nicki shared, as you can see in the pictures below.  If you click on the highlighted links, you will read about an amazing person with many and varied interests.  She could climb with the best of them and was an accomplished sky diver and base jumper.  Her wit was sharp and she could hold her own in any conversation.  Read more about her exceptional life by clicking on the following link:

In Memory of Chris Chan, 9 July 2010

In Memory of Chris Chan who died on 7/09/10 in Yosemite.

By Tom Evans

Our wonderful friend, Chris Chan, died from a fall while traversing, unroped, along the North Face of Eichorn Peak, in the high country of Yosemite National Park.

She was an unusual person with many interests. Her friends most often mention her enthusiasm for life and all it has to offer. She was highly educated and yet a person of great humility. Her smile was legendary and she made friends instantly.

Yo… I know, I know, I have stopped the report for the season …. But there was big doings on the Captain in the last 24 hours and I thought you might like to see what is going on. The weather is not bad for this time of year and it has been instrumental in the climbing going on now.

If you will miss the Reports then you might go back and start from the beginning of this Springs Reports and read one a day!  That way you will be able to review the season and see the pics again... as they say .... some things are better the second time around!!

So here it is …. One last time this Spring…. I hope!!
